The engineering challenge

Leaching, solution purification, SX and EW must stay coordinated to protect electrolyte quality and production stability.

The project followed the path from laboratory study to the design and construction of a copper cathode plant.

02

Zarfaravar’s delivery method

After six months of laboratory studies, crushing, leaching, solvent extraction and electrowinning were developed for the target feed.

  • Six-month laboratory program
  • Design crushing and leaching
  • Develop SX and EW circuit
03

Decision-ready outputs

The project was defined for 300 t/day feed and 700 t/year cathode, with construction starting on 25 September 2021.

FAQ / PROJECT / COPPER CATHODE

Frequently asked questions

How does a navid farayand copper cathode engagement begin?

It begins with a technical review of available data and the project objective. The initial work plan then starts with six-month laboratory program.

What information should the client provide?

Available assays, capacity targets, material samples, site constraints and prior test results help define a faster and more reliable scope.

What is delivered at the end?

The agreed scope is documented through Process flowsheet, Design basis, SX/EW circuit, Engineering documents. Deliverables are adjusted to the maturity and decision gate of each project.
